Greetings from the Rancho Loma Vineyards Wine Club! We are so ready to celebrate the New Year with our beloved wine club members!  Our theme for the 1st Shipment of the year is Valentine's Day.

COLEMAN kick's off the fun on Saturday February 19th and FTW is on Saturday February 5th, all parties beginning at 1pm.  What better way to celebrate Valentines Day then to have Italian Food!  

In addition, we have been busy in preparation for your February wine club shipment.  Our winemaker has some very special wines pre-selected for your upcoming wine club shipment.  If you would like to "customize" your order, and are enrolled in either the Signature or Premier Club Level, you will need to sign up for the "SELECT" category in that level.  COLLECTORS CLUB members, as always, can customize their order at no additional charge.  

SIGNATURE CLUB (3 BOTTLES) Winemaker Selection for this 1st Quarter is:

RLV 2017 Corso, Texas High Plains: Full bodied blend of Sangiovese, Montepulciano and Barbera showing expressive red fruit character enticingly layered with accents of black cherry and black currants.  Its robust structure pairs well with hearty meat courses yet accompanies pastas with red sauce equally well. 

RLV 2017 Valera, Texas High Plains: Harvest Period: Mid-August through mid-September 2017 Vinification: Small lot fermentation in 2 ton fermenters, twice a day punch downs, 30% barreled in 2 year old French oak and the remainder in neutral, aged 15 months, blended with Syrah 50%, Tempranillo 25%, Mouvedre 20%, and Grenache 5%.

RLV 2018 Tempter Reserve, Texas High Plains: Our Texas version of Bordeaux, is made from 3 separate blocks of Tempranillo 47%, Merlot 47% and Tannat 6% from Reddy Vineyard in the Texas High Plains AVA.  The blend is aged for 18 months in 30% new French oak puncheon and barrel.

PREMIER CLUB (6 BOTTLES) Winemaker Selection for this 1st Quarter is:

RLV 2017 Corso, Texas High Plains: Full bodied blend of Sangiovese, Montepulciano and Barbera showing expressive red fruit character enticingly layered with accents of black cherry and black currants.  Its robust structure pairs well with hearty meat courses yet accompanies pastas with red sauce equally well.??????? 

RLV 2018 Corso, Texas High Plains:  Our third year in making the Corso!  Italian style expression using 55% Sangiovese, 40% Montepulciano and 5% Barbera with aging 50% puncheon and 50% new French oak.  Aroma of roses on the nose followed by sweet red raspberry, strawberry, cranberry, carmel embraced by soft tannins with medium body and gentle soft finish.  Pairs with pasta, roast chicken, salmon and pork tenderloin.

RLV 2018 Tempter Reserve, Texas High Plains: Our Texas version of Bordeaux, is made from 3 separate blocks of Tempranillo 47%, Merlot 47% and Tannat 6% from Reddy Vineyard in the Texas High Plains AVA.  The blend is aged for 18 months in 30% new French oak puncheon and barrel.

RLV 2019 Rojo:  This is our widely popular multi-varietal red blend consisting of Montepulciano, Barbera, Mouvedre, Tempranillo and Tannat grapes.  Aging was 20% in new French oak and the remainder in neutral barrel.  Fresh rewarding fruit notes of candied strawberry, cherry, and red raspberry dominate with lighter body, soft tannin structure and finish.
